I\u2019m not especially interested in building on a subscription platform when I already have my own domain, and I have no desire to turn every stray thought into a monetized newsletter. So: blog it is.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1404\" data-end=\"1600\">The name is a reference to The Hives song <strong data-start=\"1446\" data-end=\"1478\">\u201cHate To Say I Told You So.\u201d<\/strong> For a blog involving politics, opinions, and the occasional deeply satisfying moment of being right, it felt appropriate.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1602\" data-end=\"1820\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Everything here is free and will stay free. <a href=\"https:\/\/ko-fi.com\/heycristina\">You can support me if you want to<\/a>, and I\u2019ll appreciate it, but it will never affect what you can read. No paywall. No locked content. No weird little velvet rope.
